As a veteran I am deeply concerned about the well being of women who have served in combat with the armed services. Many women enter the military to make a new life for themselves, are changed by the experience, and must begin again. They remember and reflect on their past identities while they work to rebuild themselves anew. Time and time again, learn to cope with traumas of war.
The Women’s Art Revolution began in the 1960s and 1970s and continues to rage on! I hope that my work fits into the traditions of feminist art that adds my voice to the roar of women demanding change for all women.
