Choreographer Gideon Obarzanek and sculptor Reuben Margolin discuss the creation of Chunky Move

In conjunction with the dance group Chunky Move’s premiere of Gideon Obarzanek’s newest work, CONNECTED, Obarzanek and Margolin explore their creative collaboration. The White Bird dance performance began with simple movements choreographed by Gideon and hundreds of tiny pieces fabricated by Reuben. The agile Chunky Move dancers constructed a kinetic sculpture in real time, and simple physical connections will evolve into thrillingly complex relationships.

The following is a conversation between Obarzanek and Margolin that occurred in the Swigert Commons on Tuesday, October 18 from 12:30-1:30pm.
